Tata.ev offers a Lifetime HV battery warranty on several models, including the Nexon.ev 45, Curvv.ev, Harrier.ev, Sierra.ev and the Punch.ev 40 kWh.
What does "lifetime" mean?
According to Tata.ev's published terms, "lifetime" means 15 years from the date of first registration. It applies to vehicles registered to private individuals, and to cars registered under company perk schemes (including a transfer to the same employee).
Things to know
- The warranty assumes fair personal use. Commercial use is excluded.
- If the car is sold to a third party, the new buyer is treated as a second or subsequent owner, and different terms apply. For the Sierra.ev, for example, coverage then becomes 10 years or 2,00,000 km.
- Terms can differ by model and battery pack, so always check the warranty booklet for your vehicle.
